Innovation Retreat

 

Introduction

 

This Program is designed for the management teams to create new marketable ideas to enhance competitiveness.  This is not a training session; it is a retreat where leaders/managers use creative techniques and process to create new customer oriented ideas.  This Program has a strong emphasis on the post-retreat actions.

Organization can improve its competitive edge by using the Retreat to work on these focal areas:

* New Services/Products e.g. develop the next generation credit card

* New Service Experience e.g. create a new experience for our guests as they enter our hotel

* New Positioning e.g. make service X appealing to the elderly segment

* New Channels e.g. develop ways to reach the under 18s segment

* Survival e.g. the situation is forcing us out of business, what we can do to turn around

 

Phases

1)        Preparation (half day)

The facilitator works with the leader to:

Determine the focal challenge

Provide overview to the leader

Committing to post-retreat actions

 

2)        The Retreat (1-2 days)

The management team meets to generate ideas on the focal area/issue and work out action plan. This facilitator-led session includes:

Skills building

Ideation

Idea development

Implementation Planning

 

3)        Follow up (3 hrs)

The management team meets to evaluate the progress or outcome of the implementation.  This is a facilitator-led meeting for:

Refining the ideas

Learning from the actions

Sharing knowledge

Planning forward actions
